We have three special collaborations at Art Market Jakarta 7 that will be held on April 28-30, 2017 at Kuningan City, South Jakarta, and would like to introduce you to them. Our second collaboration is with Raksasa Print, a silkscreen printing studio based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Read the Q&A below!
Catalyst Arts (CA): Tell us a little bit about your brand, and how you came to begin your brand.
Raksasa Print (RP): Raksasa Print is an artist collective based in Kuala Lumpur specialising in silk screen printing.
CA: What kind of artworks or products that you prepare for Art Market Jakarta 7?
RP: We will bring with us a collection of hand printed art prints, books, zines and printed fabric products.
CA: Tell us about your favourite product from your collection!
RP: Our favourite product would have to be the ‘Wish you weren’t here’ colouring book set. It’s a collection of illustrations by a diverse group of talented artists who submitted their work for our show made available to everyone to colour.
CA: Name one resource that inspires your brand the most.
RP: We are inspired by bad horror movies.
CA: What is your plan for your brand in the near future?
RP: We hope to further expand our printmaking studio to include other printmaking techniques such as relief and intaglio, as well as to make our workshops available internationally.
CA: Tell us how to find out more about your brand (website, social media, offline store, or anything else).
RP: We have a physical space in Jalan Panggong, Kuala Lumpur. Our products can also be found on our website www.raksasaprint.com as well as www.pinkoi.com. You can also follow us on our Facebook Page Raksasa Print as well as our instagram @raksasaprint for the latest updates.
