We’d like to introduce you to all participants of Art Market Jakarta 7 that will be held on April 28-30, 2017 at Kuningan City, South Jakarta. One of them is Water Planet. Read our Q&A below:
Catalyst Arts (CA): Tell us a little bit about your brand, and how you came to begin your brand.
Water Planet (WP): I’m a dreamer who loves to imagine anything, such as being a happy painter. It all started when I created a blog that contains my illustrations. In Water Planet, we share thoughts, questions, and hopes through our products, so each illustration has their own story.
CA: What kind of artworks or products that you prepare for Art Market Jakarta 7?
WP: Art prints, postcard, scarf, pin, pouch, tote bag, notes, etc.
CA: Tell us about your favourite product from your collection!
WP: Our favourite artwork is our next artwork! And our favourite product is scarf, because for us scarf is like a huge canvas for painting.
CA: Name one resource that inspires your brand the most.
WP: We’d say Studio Ghibli and Walt Disney. They allow us to let our imagination wander. But since you’re asking for only resource, we’ll go with Walt Disney because he was a teacher who taught us to keep on dreaming since we were a little, and he told us that everyone could be anything.
CA: What is your plan for your brand in the near future?
WP: Still the same, sharing our dreams and imaginations, and developing more products.
