We’d like to introduce you to all participants of Art Market Jakarta 7 that will be held on April 28-30, 2017 at Kuningan City, South Jakarta. One of them is ARTofLIFE. Read our Q&A below:
Catalyst Arts (CA): Tell us a little bit about your brand, and how you came to begin your brand.
ARTofLIFE (AoL): ARTofLIFE is a merchandise collection curated by ARTOTEL and developed since August 2016 to support the creativity of young people and local contemporary artists. We produce various merchandise for all ages, using three main concepts:
- Original (products designed by ARTOTEL internal creative team)
- Featuring Artists (products that collaborate with local contemporary artists, such as Eddie Hara, Ronald Apriyan, Fatoni, and others)
- Market Place (we become the platform for artists and crafters to sell their products using consignment system).
CA: What kind of artworks or products that you prepare for Art Market Jakarta 7?
AoL: We will sell two kinds of product:
- Original : t-shirt, tote bag, tumbler, notebook kanvas, and coffee cup
- Featuring artists : t-shirts featuring the illustrations of Eddie Hara, Ronald Apriyan, Fatoni, Muklay, Tomodachi, X-go, and Hari Prast. Notebook featuring Ronald Apriyan, Fatoni, and Eddie Hara.
CA: Tell us about your favourite product from your collection!
AoL: That would be our simple but elegant original t-shirt with ++ pattern on the pocket, reversible original tote bag. We also love our featuring artists t-shirt and notebook that showcase the illustrations of well-known Indonesian local artists.
CA: Name one resource that inspires your brand the most.
AoL: Our inspirational source is young people who love to create and young contemporary artists who keep creating artworks.
CA: What is your plan for your brand in the near future?
AoL: We want to produce more great quality of products made by creative young people and local contemporary artists that are accessible for Indonesian people.
